Making a splash

US bathroom and kitchen products company American Standard has launched its first 3D printed range of metal taps (or faucets as they call them across the pond). Part of the luxury DXV line, the company has tapped into the new possibilities offered by SLS metal printing technology to create three unique designs. The faucet shown here is printed in one piece and has no less than 19 waterways that create the illusion of a stream bouncing on rocks on a riverbed. All three faucets look like works of art, and come with prices to match, but we can still admire their stunning aesthetics and cleverly disguised multiple waterways.
