Fancy filaments have been around for some time, but a relatively new company to the market is shaking it up. Spectrum Filaments is quickly gaining in popularity, thanks to its high quality products, with new, sometimes innovative, materials being launched almost every month. Its latest line includes the intriguing Stone Age filaments in beige and grey, which have tiny grains in them to give the appearance of stone when printed. There's also a PLA Sandstone filament and a range of fluorescent, rubber and glow in the dark options.

The company is currently working on metallic infused filaments, including bronze, copper and aluminium.
